This role is remote, but candidates must be based in the United States. Bitwarden prefers time zones that overlap with the US East Coast, and you must include a portfolio link when you apply.
Password managers only protect people who actually use them. Bitwarden wants a product designer who can take security ideas like passkeys, vault health and secure sharing, and make them simple enough for anyone to act on.
About Bitwarden
Bitwarden is an open source identity security company used by millions of individuals, developers and businesses to manage passwords, secrets and passkeys. It is headquartered in Santa Barbara, California, and works with a remote team spread around the world.

- Explain security concepts so that non technical users can understand them and act
- Create user flows, prototypes and production ready designs with the Bitwarden design system
- Use AI design tools for research, ideation, rapid prototyping and iteration
- Help run user interviews and usability tests, then use what you learn to improve designs
- Present work in design critiques and to product and engineering partners
