About the Role
You will own key parts of the close and the controls behind Coinbase's UAE reporting. You will:
- Run parts of the monthly and quarterly close, including reconciliations, journal entries and balance sheet analysis
- Prepare and review VARA regulatory reports, with data quality checks and audit trails
- Run and strengthen SOX controls, and support internal and external audits
- Review flow of funds, legal entity impacts, ledger design and testing for new products
- Find ways to automate and scale accounting work
- Flag accounting, reporting and regulatory risks early and see them resolved
About You
- A degree in accounting, finance or a related field; CPA, CA, ACCA or equivalent preferred
- 5+ years in accounting, controllership, audit, fintech, capital markets, custody or digital assets
- Strong experience with month-end close, reconciliations, audit support and internal controls
- Experience with SOX or regulatory reporting; VARA exposure is strongly preferred
- The ability to follow transactions end to end across entities, systems and ledgers
- Responsible use of generative AI, with human review of the output
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with derivatives, digital assets, NetSuite, SQL or finance analytics tools
What Coinbase Offers
Coinbase states a target annual base salary of AED 410,000, excluding equity and bonus. Total pay may also include equity, bonus eligibility and benefits such as medical, dental and vision cover.
