About the Role
As a Senior Backend Engineer in Core DevOps, you will design and ship backend features, raise the quality and reliability of the platform, and help shape technical and product direction across product, frontend, infrastructure, data and security.
You will:
- Design and ship moderate to complex backend features with little guidance
- Choose sensibly between modular monolith code, shared components and separate services
- Set backend standards for testing, APIs, maintainability and operational readiness
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers through code and design reviews
- Diagnose and prevent performance and reliability problems at scale, and join incident response
- Use AI in production engineering and coach others on using it with good judgment
About You
- Strong command of backend architecture, APIs, data systems and performance tuning
- Skill in modern backend languages and systems programming, with a willingness to learn new ones
- Experience designing modular backend boundaries and safe migrations
- Clear written communication and the ability to lead through influence
- Proven experience building or running agentic AI systems in production, including tool use and error handling
