About the Role
- Act as the in-house legal expert for product, privacy, data, AI, compliance and commercial contracts
- Build playbooks, templates and self-service guidance for recurring privacy questions, especially around the Subscriber Signals product
- Own GDPR and data compliance vetting and the process for customer security questionnaires
- Partner with Sales, Sponsorships, Security, Product and Engineering to move faster safely
- Reduce reliance on outside counsel for work that can be handled in-house
- Report to the Chief Operating Officer
About You
- In-house counsel experience at a tech company, or serving tech clients at a top firm known for start-up work
- A J.D. from an accredited US law school and good standing with a State Bar
- Strong knowledge of US and European privacy law, including GDPR and CCPA
- Familiarity with SOC 2 Type II, intellectual property and commercial contracts

The posting lists a standardised salary of $227,000 (level 4) or $252,000 (level 5) no matter where you live, plus equity, profit sharing, a 401k with 5% match, medical premiums covered up to $2,100 a month, a $3,500 yearly learning budget, 20 days of paid time off and 10 paid holidays.
