About the Role
Growth Foundations is a new team inside Growth that sets the frontend infrastructure, standards and components for Kraken's whole .com platform. The work is UI-heavy and fast-moving: you will ship a steady stream of projects rather than maintain one platform. You will:
- Design, build and ship a component library and design system in React, connected to Kraken's custom CMS
- Build and document reusable, accessible components so content teams can configure pages on their own
- Turn designs into pixel-perfect production UI, working closely with Design
- Set frontend best practices and coding standards that other teams follow
- Improve component performance, accessibility and developer experience
- Mentor other engineers and shape technical decisions
About You
- 4+ years of software development focused on web and component-driven apps
- Deep JavaScript and TypeScript skill and strong React experience
- Advanced CSS and the ability to build responsive, pixel-perfect interfaces
- Experience building or contributing to design systems or component libraries
- Modern build tools such as webpack or Vite, plus REST or GraphQL APIs
- Frontend testing experience and a strong grasp of WCAG accessibility
- Experience integrating a custom or headless CMS
- Strong written and spoken English
Nice to Have
- Knowledge of crypto and blockchain
- Next.js and server-side rendering experience
- Experience mentoring engineers on component architecture
