About the Role
You will own the surface developers use to build live and event-driven apps: Broadcast, Presence, Postgres Changes and what comes next. You will work closely with the Realtime engineering team and with Design and GTM. You will:
- Work with customers of every size, from indie developers to enterprise teams streaming live data to dashboards
- Own the problem statements and reasoning behind the Realtime roadmap
- Shape how Realtime evolves for future apps, including AI apps, and alongside other Supabase products
- Own Realtime packaging and pricing with the Pricing, Finance and Billing teams
- Use data to see where developers succeed or get stuck, and decide what to tackle first
- Keep Engineering, Design and GTM aligned on what is coming, why and in what order
About You
- 5+ years of product management on developer tools, or equivalent depth as a former founder
- Experience owning an app development platform, feature or framework where real-time was central
- The habit of answering your own questions with data, including querying and cleaning it yourself
- Comfort with Postgres and familiarity with logical replication
- An async-first working style: you decide in writing and move work forward without meetings
Nice to Have
- An existing developer audience through social media, open source or developer advocacy
- Work on a sync engine, local-first or live-query product
- Experience with gaming, AR or collaboration tool customers
- Something you shipped with Supabase
