About the Role
ManTech is seeking a Senior VMware Cloud Engineer to join the CASTLE-NET Program team, supporting the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) OCIO/G-6 with agile, cost-effective enterprise IT services. You'll help deliver secure, modernized cloud infrastructure in support of USACE's mission to engineer solutions for the nation's toughest challenges.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage cloud-based computing solutions and infrastructure for CASTLE-NET projects
- Ensure high availability, reliability, performance, and security of cloud-based applications
- Manage virtualized environments using vSphere, NSX, vSAN, and vRealize Suite
- Manage VMware Cloud Foundation, Private-to-Public Cloud migration, and hybrid cloud networking (HCX)
- Collaborate with project teams, stakeholders, and IT leadership to ensure seamless integration and alignment with objectives
- Deliver responsive, dependable customer support and world-class IT services
- Exceed expectations of USACE OCIO/G-6 IT end-users
- Strengthen the IT foundation with secure, innovative, modernized solutions
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field, plus 8+ years of cloud engineering experience (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) — or an Associate degree + 2 years relevant experience, or 4 years relevant experience in lieu of a degree
- Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure components, scripting/automation (Python, PowerShell, Bash), and IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation)
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills
- Relevant certification — preferred: VCP-Cloud Management and Automation (VCP-CMA) or VCP-DCV; minimum acceptable: AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or Google Cloud Professional Architect
- Experience with Docker or Kubernetes
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with USACE or other federal agency cloud infrastructures and policies
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and teamwork skills; ability to manage multiple tasks and stay current with industry trends
- Effective communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Clearance Requirement
Must be a U.S. Citizen with an active Secret clearance prior to starting.
Compensation & Benefits
$117,000 – $195,100 (final offer depends on experience, skills, location, education/certifications, and contract requirements)

Physical Requirements
- Stationary position ~50% of the time
