OKX is hiring a remote Compliance Analyst or Senior Compliance Analyst to trace illicit crypto flows on the blockchain. Open to applicants in EMEA, including Africa, and APAC.

Apply Now

This role is open to applicants based in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) or Asia Pacific (APAC). OKX lists it under its remote EMEA roles, so candidates in African countries can apply.

Every scam, hack or money laundering scheme that touches crypto leaves a trail on the blockchain. Someone has to follow it. OKX wants an analyst who can read wallet flows like a detective reads a crime scene, and turn that work into reports that regulators and law enforcement can act on.

About OKX

OKX is a global crypto exchange and the developer of OKX Wallet, which gives millions of people access to crypto trading and decentralized apps. Hundreds of large institutions also use it to reach crypto markets, and the company publishes Proof of Reserves. Its compliance team runs the company's overall compliance program and advises the business on regulatory obligations and risk.

About the Role

You will support the Special Investigations team, analyzing blockchain data to spot money laundering, terrorist financing and other illicit activity involving crypto. OKX is hiring at either the Compliance Analyst or Senior Compliance Analyst level. You will:

  • Run in-depth investigations of complex anti-money laundering (AML) cases by tracing blockchain transactions
  • Analyze data to find process gaps and recommend fixes with Compliance, Training and other financial intelligence teams
  • Review transaction monitoring and suspicious activity reporting rules for the countries OKX operates in
  • Share intelligence with banks, government agencies and blockchain companies, and provide evidence to law enforcement and legal teams
  • Track changes in crypto, financial crime trends and regulation, and help train the wider team

About You

  • 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in BSA/AML investigations, transaction monitoring or financial crime work
  • Solid knowledge of BSA/AML and KYC rules, risks and controls across jurisdictions
  • A strong grasp of blockchain technology, crypto protocols and decentralized networks
  • Clear writing for detailed investigation reports that non-technical readers can follow
  • Comfort working independently in a fast-paced, distributed team

Nice to Have

  • Experience with monitoring tools such as Chainalysis, Elliptic or Solidus Labs
  • Certifications such as CAMS or CFCS, or training in digital forensics
  • Experience in a multinational or matrix organization

What OKX Offers

OKX lists a competitive total compensation package, learning and development programs with an education subsidy, wellness and meal allowances, healthcare for employees and dependents, and team events. The posting does not state a salary. OKX also notes that all its official vacancies are published on its own careers site, so apply there rather than through third-party boards.

If you have AML investigation experience and live in EMEA or APAC, apply on the official OKX careers page: Apply for the OKX Special Investigations Compliance Analyst role
