A confusing invoice can lose a customer as fast as a failed deploy. Render, the cloud platform used by more than 7 million developers, wants a senior product designer to own the path from first sign up to paying customer, including billing and pricing.

About the Role
This is a craft focused individual contributor role built for speed and range. You will move between a pricing page, an upgrade flow, an onboarding step and a billing screen in the same week. You will:
- Design onboarding, activation, upgrade and billing as one connected journey
- Own plans, usage, invoices, upgrade and downgrade flows, payment methods and the pricing page
- Design for hard edge cases such as failed charges, proration and usage spikes
- Shape a first run experience that gets developers to their first successful deploy quickly
- Run user tests and interviews, and ship experiments to learn what moves activation, conversion and retention
- Work across product, engineering, data, marketing and finance
About You
- 5+ years of relevant experience, including real work designing for developers or other technical users
- Strong taste and craft, with the ability to hold a high bar while shipping fast
- Comfort with both user research and A/B experiments, and knowing which question each one answers
- Rigor with complex, high stakes flows like billing, payments and pricing
- Strong information architecture skills
- A portfolio that shows a coherent journey, not just polished single screens
- Clear, direct communication with product, engineering, data and finance partners
Nice to Have
- Experience designing billing, subscriptions, checkout or pricing
- Growth wins you can point to in activation, conversion or retention
- Comfort reading data yourself and working near code, motion or prototypes

Render lists a salary range of US$195,000 to US$268,000 plus equity.
