This role is open to applicants worldwide. Supabase has no offices and hires globally, so you can apply from Lagos, London, Nairobi or Austin on equal terms.
Every app that asks you to sign in has to answer the same hard questions: who is this person, and what are they allowed to do? Thousands of developers hand that problem to Supabase Auth. Now the company wants a product manager to decide where Auth goes next, including how sign-in should work when the "user" is an AI agent acting for a person.
About Supabase
Supabase is a Postgres development platform that gives developers a full backend in one place: database, authentication, storage, edge functions, realtime and vector search. It is open source first and fully remote, with about 400 people across more than 60 countries. The company says it has raised over $1 billion, including a $500 million Series F, and its community counts more than 540,000 members.
About the Role
You will own the parts of Supabase that developers use to sign users in and control access: email, phone and social login, passkeys and multi-factor authentication, enterprise SSO, the OAuth 2.1 server, auth hooks, and support for organizations and multi-tenant apps. You will work with the Auth engineering team and with Security, Design and go-to-market colleagues.
You will:
- Talk with customers of every size, from indie developers on a side project to enterprises in a security review
- Own the problem statements and reasoning behind the Auth roadmap
- Define how Auth works for AI agents that sign users up, act on their behalf and call APIs
- Use product data to see where developers succeed, where they get stuck and what to fix first
- Keep Engineering, Design and go-to-market teams aligned on what ships, why and when
About You
- 5 or more years of product management on developer tools, or founder experience with similar depth
- You have shipped standards-based auth or identity products such as OAuth, OIDC, SAML, SCIM, sessions or token design
- You are comfortable with both enterprise buyers and individual developers
- You know Postgres and are familiar with row-level security
- You work async by default and make decisions in writing
Nice to Have
- You have owned auth or identity inside an integrated cloud platform
- You have run an organizations, tenancy or SSO plus SCIM launch from start to finish
- You have designed auth for agents or machines, such as OAuth for MCP clients or scoped tokens
- You have built something with Supabase
What Supabase Offers
- Fully remote work, with a WeWork membership or co-working allowance anywhere in the world
- Equity (ESOP) for every team member
- A tech allowance for your work setup
- 100% health insurance cover for employees and 80% for dependents, wherever you live
- An annual company off-site and a yearly education allowance
The posting does not list a salary range.
