This role is open to applicants based in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Zapier is all-remote but keeps a short list of countries where it cannot have people working permanently, so check that list on the posting before you apply.
Most people meet Zapier through a two-second animation: a trigger fires, a step runs, work gets done without anyone touching it. Making automation feel simple on screen is a craft, and Zapier wants a senior motion designer to set how the whole brand moves.
About Zapier
Zapier is the automation platform that connects thousands of apps so teams can move data and run workflows without code, and it now builds heavily on AI. The company is all-remote and describes itself as fast-growing and profitable. It even publishes guidance on how candidates can use AI tools responsibly during its hiring process.
About the Role
You will join Brand Studio, a small, high-ownership creative team inside Marketing. You will work with brand designers and design ops, partner with product marketing, product design, web and social teams, and work with outside agencies on larger productions.
You will:
- Design and produce motion for product explainers, website animations, paid social clips, keynotes and campaigns
- Draft your own storyboards for simple projects so work moves fast
- Turn UI frames from the product team into polished product demo animations
- Build Zapier's motion design language so the brand feels consistent and recognisable in motion
- Create motion guidelines, component libraries and mogrt files other teams can use on their own
- Explore tools like Jitter and Figma Motion so partners can make on-brand animated assets
About You
- You can turn a UI frame or a brand brief into a short story that lands
- You think in systems and build reusable templates and guidelines
- You understand timing, easing and personality in both brand and UI motion
- You have a strong sense of sound and rhythm, and of narrative pacing
- You explain the why behind your creative choices to stakeholders
- You use AI video tools as a real part of your practice and share what you learn
What Zapier Offers
The posted salary range is EUR 92,600 to 139,000, and the role also offers equity and a bonus. Zapier is fully remote. Its application uses a few in-depth questions in place of a first interview, the resume and CV fields are optional, and education is not a requirement. Zapier says it aims to update every applicant at least every seven days, and the application window is expected to run about 30 days from the October 2026 posting.
