About the Role

Zuora's Customer Solution Engineering team is central to the company's growth story. They're looking for a collaborative, technically curious, outcome-driven Customer Solution Engineer to help win over customers and shape the future of monetization for the world's most innovative companies. As a trusted partner to Account Executives, you'll guide prospects and customers through the quote-to-cash journey — combining technical expertise with strategic insight to deliver compelling demos, solve real-world problems, and help enterprises reimagine growth.

Responsibilities

  • Become an expert in Zuora's platform, products, and the full quote-to-cash lifecycle through onboarding and sales training
  • Partner closely with Account Executives to own the technical relationship with prospects and customers
  • Deliver high-impact product demos and presentations to executives, showcasing how Zuora enables growth and digital transformation
  • Build and present customized use-case demonstrations tailored to each customer's industry and objectives
  • Differentiate Zuora's solutions by addressing technical objections, mitigating risks, and securing the technical win
  • Collaborate with Product Management to influence the roadmap with customer insights and market needs
  • Drive adoption and value realization, ensuring customers achieve measurable outcomes
  • Support account plans and KPIs, identifying opportunities to expand Zuora's footprint
  • Partner cross-functionally with internal teams and external partners to design solutions
  • Represent Zuora at industry events, field demos, and webinars as a technical SME
  • Respond to RFPs/RFIs, manage escalations, and support post-sales success with Customer Support and AEs
  • Travel as needed within your territory

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in Sales Engineering, Solution Consulting, or Solution Architecture within a SaaS business application environment (ERP, CRM, EPM, etc.)
  • Passion for learning and becoming an expert in the Subscription Economy and quote-to-cash processes
  • Exceptional presentation and communication skills, able to connect with both technical and executive audiences
  • Strong understanding of value-based selling and SaaS/cloud business models
  • Familiarity with subscription and recurring revenue models
  • Experience with structured sales methodologies such as MEDDIC or Value Selling
  • Working knowledge of API development and coding languages (e.g., Java, PHP, Ruby)
  • Bachelor's degree or relevant FinTech/enterprise software experience

The Customer Solution Engineering team is a core growth partner at Zuora, working closely with Sales, Product, and Customer teams to shape deals and influence product direction. The team thrives on solving complex technical and business problems with some of the world's most innovative companies, and values continuous learning and knowledge sharing — staying closely connected through regular syncs and team events, whether remote, hybrid, or in-office.

Compensation & Benefits

$99,500 – $160,950 USD base salary (final offer depends on qualifications, experience, skills, location, and internal equity; base pay is one part of a total rewards package that may include bonus/variable compensation and equity)
