About the Role
Knowledge Graph finds the services, infrastructure and databases inside a team's telemetry, maps how they depend on each other and flags anomalies. You will design the entity graph, the entity catalog and the root cause analysis workbench. You will:
- Find simple ways to show complex, constantly changing system data without overwhelming users
- Turn research and data into experiences that are easy to follow
- Design for several audiences, from engineers and SREs to AI agents
- Work with engineering, product management, technical writing and go-to-market teams
- Document user needs, design directions, UX tradeoffs and detailed specs
- Run qualitative and quantitative research with customers and the Grafana community
About You
- 7+ years designing B2B or enterprise software, ideally tools for developers or other technical users
- A portfolio of designs for complex products shipped at speed
- Experience running qualitative research in complex fields
- Sound judgement when balancing business goals, user feedback and technical limits
- Experience working fully remote across time zones
Nice to Have
- Experience with data-dense interfaces
- Knowledge of observability, cloud infrastructure or database monitoring
- Experience helping design teams at engineering-led companies raise their game

What Grafana Labs Offers
The base salary range in the United States is US$143,000 to US$180,000, plus equity, a bonus where applicable and other benefits. Grafana Labs also lists 30 days of annual leave (3 of them reserved for company-wide shutdown days) and in-person onboarding with other new hires.
