Is This Open to Nigerians?

Kora is headquartered in Nigeria and built for African markets. The listing does not confirm whether applicants outside Nigeria are eligible; verify this before applying. If the role includes a remote component, confirm payment currency and structure during the hiring process.

How to Apply

  1. Go to the official listing
  2. Complete the Workable application form. Have your CV ready before you start.
  3. Be ready to describe specific projects where you led both frontend and backend delivery.
  4. If you have AI, blockchain, or payments experience, put it in the first paragraph of your application. The Innovation Team brief makes it a direct hiring signal.
  5. Kora addresses imposter syndrome directly in the listing; underconfident candidates are encouraged to apply.

GizPulse Verdict

This role suits a senior full-stack engineer who has outgrown pure execution but has no interest in moving fully into management. The Innovation Team brief is broad: AI, blockchain, payments, and automation, and Kora wants someone who can lead architectural decisions and still write production code on the same day.

The therapy access and low-interest loans stand out. Most Nigerian tech employers stop at health insurance; Kora goes further. Salary is undisclosed; make that your first question in screening.

Who this is for: Senior engineers who have shipped fintech or SaaS products end-to-end, have strong architecture instincts, and want to mentor without becoming a full-time manager.

Who should look elsewhere: Engineers who prefer deep single-stack specialisation. This position demands movement across frontend, backend, infrastructure, and emerging tech simultaneously.

One tip: The listing uses the phrase “Water in the Desert,” Kora’s signal that they value resourcefulness over credentials. In your application or interview, lead with a story about solving a hard technical problem under real constraints. That framing fits Kora’s stated culture better than a skills list.
